Presenting Ashley Stephens

This summer we have a few interns coming to join our team. One of those interns is Ashley Stephens! That’s right! My sister-in-law! Ashley is coming to assist me with teaching the missionary kids and leading a small group at Christ School (as well as to educate our team with her entomology knowledge), and any other areas the Lord calls her to. In order for Ashley to come in June she has to raise support, and that’s where I would like to ask you to pray! Will you please pray and ask God if He is calling you to partner with Ashley to make it possible for her to come and minister alongside our team? If you would like to find out more from Ashley her email address is amd343@gmail.com. You can also click here to donate online to her support account. Thanks for praying!

Webale Chick-Fil-A

I REALLY miss Chick-Fil-A! Fresh waffle fries, delicious chicken nuggets dipped in Polynesian Sauce with a sweet tea lemonade. Oh how I love it. Well the Mazzio Community Group and my friend Jonathan sent me Polynesian Sauce and my roommates and I looked up recipes online and recreated Chick-Fil-A style nuggets, fries, lemonade (courtesy of the lemon tree outside my kitchen window) and sweet tea. Along with the Polynesian Sauce it was just like the real thing! So webale (thank you) for making Chick-Fil-A possible all the way out in the jungle of Uganda :)

Welcome Back Party

Today Chrissy and I were invited to attend church with our friend Janet and her husband Robert. Robert's father is Bishop Hannington, pastor and Bible translator here in Bundi. The church was praying for Chrissy while she was in the US seeking treatment for cancer. Praise God Chrissy is healthy and back in Bundi and we were able to celebrate that with Ugandan friends. Church included Chrissy and I introducing ourselves, answering questions during the sermon, and greeting everyone in attendance. It was actually a lot of fun and I felt so welcome and humbled to be a part of the day. After church we went back to Janet and Robert's house where we sat around with Janet and Robert's family and friends visiting, laughing, and enjoying a Ugandan meal. Here are a few pics from the day.
Chrissy and I splitting the chicken gizzard which is given to the guests of honor!
